Stores that know what they can do

A store is more than a number. C.A.R.M. Studio stores each location's relationships — warehouse, trait, cluster, planogram — and its features: has a dock, has a fryer, high demographic, whatever matters to your category. Product placement can then be restricted by those features, so items never land in stores that cannot support them.

Addresses geocode to coordinates, and stores, warehouses, and their associations render on a map — the network stops being an abstraction.

Warehouses and markets close the loop

Warehouses associate with the stores they serve, the products they stock, and the planograms they feed. Those associations are not decoration — the automation tools consult them, so a product that a warehouse cannot supply never gets inserted into that warehouse's stores.

Areas organize the map from the top down: areas contain regions, regions contain markets, and all three have importers — so your existing hierarchy loads from a spreadsheet instead of being retyped. Stores join the map on the way in, too: the store import carries each store’s market by code, and a market it has never seen is created on the spot.
